MAYBE ??

Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong people

before meeting the right one so that

when we finally meet the right person,

we will know

how to be grateful for that gift.

 

Maybe when the door of happiness closes another opens,

but often times we look so

long at the closed door

that we don't see

the one which has been opened for us.

 

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind

you can sit on a porch and swing with,

never say a word, and then walk away feeling like

it was the

best conversation you've ever had.

 

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we've

got until we lose it,

but it is also true

that we don't know what we have been missing

until it arrives.

 

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance

that they will love you back.

Don't expect love in return; just wait

for it to grow in their heart;

but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

 

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone,

an hour to like someone,

and a day to love someone,

but it takes a lifetime

to forget someone.

 

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.

Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.

Go for someone who makes you smile

because it takes only a smile

to make a dark day seem bright.

 

Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life

when you miss someone so much

that you just want to pick them from your dreams

and hug them for real.

 

Dream what you want to dream;

go where you want to go; be what you want to be,

because you have only one life and

one chance to do all the things

you want to do.

 

May you have enough happiness

to make you sweet,

enough trials to make you strong,

enough sorrow to keep you human,

enough hope to make you happy.

 

Always put yourself in others' shoes.

If you feel that it hurts you,

it probably hurts

the other person,

too.

Island Of Love

 

Once upon a time there was an island where all the feelings lived; 

Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all the others, including Love. 

 

One day it was announced to all of the feelings that the island was going

to sink to the bottom of the ocean.

So all the feelings prepared their boats to leave.

Love was the only one that stayed.

She wanted to preserve the island paradise

until the last possible moment.

 

When the island was almost totally under

love decided it was time to leave.

 

She began looking for someone to ask for help.

 

Just then Richness was passing by in a grand boat.

Love asked, "Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?"

Richness answered,"I'm sorry, but there is a lot of silver and gold on

my boat and there would be no room for you anywhere."

 

Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was

passing in a beautiful vessel.

Love cried out, "Vanity, help me please".

"I can't help you", Vanity said, "You are all wet and will damage my

beautiful boat."

 

Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said,

"Sadness, please let me go with you." Sadness answered,

"Love, I'm sorry, but, I just need to be alone now."

 

Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out,

" Happiness, please take me with you." But Happiness was so overjoyed that

he didn't hear Love calling to him.

 

Love began to cry. Then, she heard a voice say, "Come Love, I will take

you with me." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she

forgot to ask the elder his name.

 

When they arrived on land the elder went on his way. Love realized how much she owed the elder.

Love then found Knowledge and asked, "Who was that helped me?"

"It was Time", Knowledge answered.

"But why did Time help me when no one else would?", Love asked.

 

Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity,

answered,

 

"Because only Time is capable of

understanding how

great

Love

is."

I myself was feeling very proud to present this blog before you. It covers a great content collected from various resources the same which I have mentioned in the corresponding posts and also few prepared by myself. In addition, this blog also gives you the extensive coverage on and from the works of a person who needs no introduction, Swami Vivekananda. In addition this blog includes the speeches that had its atmost influence on the society delivered from the renowed personalities, articles related to health (ways to improve it) and also the general or current issues if they are worth sharing. Now you may got rised with a question that what is the necessity of maintaining this blog while there are number of websites which are particularly devoted for this purpose. Yes, you could be right if this blog goes in a single narrow way of covering a topic of mind awakening, but rather this blog was here to view the content according to its importance and usefullness rather than viewing whether it is concerned to a single topic.

Change is the part of todays world and I think this applies to everything because nothing lasts forever. This blog too is also not an exception for the above principle. The posts which I did till May of this year(2009) gone in a conventional way, so not only going in a conventional manner of posting only a motivational and inspirational content, I wish to maintain this and partly change this blog penning on each and every issue that's worth reading.
